My name is Lawrence Elizabeth Knox, and I am a freelance journalist and photographer based in Houston, Texas. I graduated from Boston University with a degree in journalism in January of 2016, and I have since been following my many passions – writing, photography, dance, and working with nonprofit organizations. Before attending college, I was a professional ballet dancer with Tulsa Ballet, and I am blessed to be able to keep ballet in my life by teaching, but also through my words and photographs.
For some fun facts… I am originally from Fort Smith, Arkansas. I photographed the 2014 Boston Marathon, an assignment that resulted in the publication of Running to Remember Lingzi. I’ve studied under Greg Marinovich, a Pulitzer Prize-winning photojournalist. In the spring of 2015, I studied abroad in Sydney, Australia and interned with Food & Lifestyle Photographer Brett Stevens. I find happiness in volunteering with Special Olympics.
I believe a smile can change a life. I want to travel the world, and I want to make a difference.
